Mila was founded in Leeds during lockdown in 2020 by Amelia, inspired by her thoughtful nature and a desire to create something truly meaningful for her boyfriend’s birthday. She set out to design gifts that were subtle yet sentimental—pieces he could wear and cherish every day.
Inspired by the timeless elegance of Roman numerals, Mila’s signature product was born. The Roman numeral hoodie quickly became a bestseller, offering a unique way to capture special dates and memories.
When Amelia shared her idea on TikTok in 2020, she discovered she wasn’t alone. People around the world were searching for meaningful, personalised gifts—something to hold onto moments that matter most.
Since then, Mila has grown into a brand rooted in sentimentality and personalisation, helping people celebrate relationships, milestones, and memories in a truly lasting way.
In March 2026, Amelia passed the business on to Nichola, whose creativity and passion for the brand mark an exciting new chapter. Now based in Derby, Mila continues to evolve—carrying its story forward with heart, purpose, and a bright future ahead.
